'Mechanical Figures' Films Ponder Creative Impact Made by Nikola Tesla

(Source: Lomodeedee.com) This film, directed by Helena Bulaja, is one of a series of short experimentals inspired by Nikola Tesla (the scientist who was one of the most important contributors to the birth of commercial electricity, and, oh yeah ... invented the radio). You can check the others in the series here on Vimeo. Bulaja's edition is entitled 'IDEAS' and features interviews with Terry Gilliam, Marina Abramovic, Laurie Anderson and others, who discuss the art, science, creativity and ideas surrounding Tesla. (Be warned, the editing and audio mix is as strange as Tesla himself.)

According to Lomodeedee.com, "The film is now at the post production phase and will be premiered internationally on Streaming Festival for Audio Visual Art in November." Lots more info here on Lomodeedee.com.
