Contributor - Jim is consultant editor of 3D World (www.3dworldmag.com), the leading international magazine for 3D artists. Since first becoming editor in 2002, he has reported on new developments in the fields of animation, visual effects, game art and architectural visualization, and has spoken at London’s National Portrait Gallery (www.npg.org.uk) on the subject of 3D in portraiture and the Norwegian Film Institute (www.nfi.no/english) on the role of digital effects in modern storytelling.
As a freelance writer, his articles have appeared in a range of international technology titles, including T3 (www.t3.com) and .net (www.netmag.co.uk).
He currently works out of an office overlooking the River Avon in the south west of England, from which he is free to indulge his entirely non-technological loves of cookery, mushroom-hunting and bizarre French literature.
